Bethesda Church

Bethesda Church is a progressive community church. We believe in reaching out to people to meet their needs and to provide a place of spiritual encouragement and refreshment to people. The Word of God is our guide in conducting church activities. It is our desire to honor the Lord Jesus Christ by teaching His Word clearly, with application to daily life.

Rick Wolgamott, Senior Pastor. Rick was saved on March 18, 1973 while stationed in Alaska with the USAF. Current Events

Sunday School & Bible Study
Bethesda believes in teaching God’s Word and teaching relevant topics for the growth of each person.

Sunday School
Bethesda conducts a well-rounded Bible teaching program on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am.  The current adult classes are: Living by the Book (how to study the Bible); Spread the Joy (Philippians); Fresh Power; 1 and 2 Peter; Harmony of the Gospels.
Bible Studies:  Bethesda conducts several Bible studies for the youth and adults throughout the week.  Please contact the church to get the schedule.
Awana Club
AWANA stands for: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,
taken from 2 timothy 2:15.  The goal of AWANA clubs is to teach children
and young people about Jesus Christ, teach them to memorize Bible verses, and to train them to follow the Lord.

The clubs are broken down into age groups.  Each group has its own adult leaders, who are trained to work with the children and young people.  The club times consist of games, Scripture verses, and a “council time” in which they hear a story or other teaching from the Bible.

The clubs begin at 7:00 pm and end at 8:30 each Wednesday.  There is also an evening meal served at 6:30 pm.  The clubs run from August through April.  Ages 4 and up are welcome.
The Souled Out Center
The Souled Out Center is the meeting place for the Bethesda Church youth group.  However, it is also used as a meeting place for a number of community activities sponsored by Bethesda Church as well as Area Youth Ministries (AYM).  The building is located at 7th and Dakota, and used to be Scott’s Skate World.  It is a place for youth to go for fun and Christian fellowship.

During the school months the youth meet on Sunday evenings at 6:36.  There are a number of events being planned, so be sure to stop by and get information.

In addition to the meeting on Sunday evenings, several small Bible study groups meet throughout the week in order to teach the Word of God at a deeper level for the youth and for them to grow in their understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is also a time for them to make new friends.
