Welcome to Buchanan Elementary School. My name is Loren Struble. I am the principal at Buchanan Elementary.  Buchanan is located at 5th and Mellette SW in Huron, SD.  Buchanan is a K-5 school with a preschool handicapped wing, a grade 3-5 Intermediate resource room, a Developmental Learning Center, Learning Lab classroom, PT/OT areas, and Speech/Language Labs.  You will also find an ELL classroom part of our school.  We have approximately 130 students in the six, self-contained classrooms.  We are a school-wide Tittle I school.  We also have PE, Music and Guidance/Counseling available.  We have many opportunities for our students.  That's why we say, "We Can at Buchanan."
